Martin: “I just killed a kid.” 911 Operator: “You just killed a kid?” Martin: “Yes, ma’am.” Later, the operator asked Martin to explain what happened. Martin: “Kids just been giving me a bunch of (expletive), making other kids harass me in my place, tearing things up.” 911 Operator: “OK, so what’d you do?” Martin: “I shot him with a (expletive) 4-10 shotgun twice.” 911 Operator: “You shot him with a shotgun? Eleven shopping carts Eighty nine tires One armless mannequin And mounds of garbage….. According to the Lowell Sun, “You name it, it’s in there. An informal Sun survey found [those things] in the Eastern Canal” in Lowell, Massachusetts. The historic Lowell canals have been waterless since Feb. 13 for a clean-out period. Water will return next week, junk out of sight, out of mind, just in time for the Men’s World Curling Championships at the Tsongas Arena. That aside, if you are looking for a memorable experience for the kids this summer, you have to take a US National Park guided Lowell canal tour.
