Those who refuse to forget 9/11 are in a growing minority. Nine years later and the outrage over burning the Koran dwarfs any outrage over the 9/11 concerted and orchestrated assault.
Once was enough, or, was it? Shall we need yet another ’round’ in order to get the message?
Once was enough, or, was it? Shall we need yet another ’round’ in order to get the message? Here is a Budweiser commercial that aired just following 9/11. Anheiser Busch aired but once so as not to benefit financially from it. Their desire was to acknowledge the tragic events on that September morning that seems so very long ago.
So, instead of dealing with the family issues they prefer to gag the uncle until the party is over.
The Koran becomes off-limits with free speech in a way the Bible never has (or should), and no one is saying the obvious — that the very fear of attack by Muslims is justified because it is a real and present danger against our nation and our soldiers here and abroad.
So, we hammer cult-like crackpots as the problem? Do we actually buy that? No, we should not. The crackpots are the drunk uncle at the family reunion who blurts out every family secret (that everyone actually KNOWS of but simply never speaks of). So, instead of dealing with the family issues they prefer to gag the uncle until the party is over.
As to the Obama Administration’s poor handling of this situation it’s this — No one should provoke people who the U.S. government is trying to spin as “just like us” all the while knowing that if they were, indeed, “just like us” there would be no fear of death and mayhem over another’s exercise of free speech, one of the last vestiges of American rights.
Stop right there, preacher.”
In England, a preacher is arrested for saying homosexuality is wrong. Hate speech. So, one day, a gay guy asks a street preacher what he thinks about homosexuality, within earshot of an awaiting bobby. The preacher hands the man an open Bible to 1 Corinthians 6:9,10 and asks HIM to read it aloud. It has come down to that in Britain and it is coming here, too.
“Hate” speech or acts of incitement like the bozos in Florida are protected under our Constitution (for now). If speech arouses danger due to those who hate us then we best stop the double-speak going on in Washington and address the REAL enemy. Not a tiny cult in Florida, but those who are using that opportunity to chip away at what is left of our foundation. Christians are next.
